About the Bangkok desk
Desktop Work Base grew from a Wireless Road reading table where collectors kept losing track of Marvel NFT comics after each Veve drop.
Mission
We keep Marvel NFT comics findable. The mission is a local library discipline: cards, folders, reading orders, and drop-week notes that survive a messy downloads directory. We do not mint, list, or custody anything.
Origin
The desk started when a small circle of Bangkok readers noticed that digital Marvel issues vanished into identically named files after weekend drops. Someone began writing issue numbers on paper index cards next to a laptop. That habit became Desktop Work Base: a named place on Wireless Road rather than a group chat.
Expertise
The people at the desk read credits pages, compare cover treatments, and listen when a collector explains which file is the reread copy. Expertise here means patience with variant language and a refusal to turn a shelf into a forecast sheet. Character names appear only as bibliographic labels.
People
Arun keeps the sample wall of metadata cards. Mali reviews folder naming so Thai and English series titles do not collide. Kiet handles drop-week notebooks and will not add a “floor price” column even when asked. Visitors meet whoever is on the floor; this is not a celebrity imprint.
Working approach
Work begins with the collector’s actual files, not with a branded template. We sit with the laptop, name the series as the listing printed it, and only then talk about reading order. Sessions are conversational. You may call or email; there is no intake form on this website.
Values
Honesty about trademarks comes first. Marvel, Disney, Veve, and Binance are other people’s names. We use them to describe listings, compatibility labels, and review context. We do not pretend to be a studio, a marketplace, or an exchange.
Relationship to collectors
Collectors remain the owners of their files and of any marketplace accounts. Desktop Work Base is a cataloguing neighbour: useful when the shelf is chaotic, quiet when you only need an address and a phone number.
